Playing charades at a party means someone has to keep score on napkins. Charades puts the timer, words, and scoreboard on your phone. Pick a category, a word appears big on the screen for one team to act out, tap when they guess correctly, and the app counts points and tracks team totals through every round.
What it does
The app starts with four word categories: Movies, Animals, Actions, and Famous People. When you pick one and start a round, a single large word fills the screen. Your acting team silently performs it; tap the Got it button each time they guess right, and a new word appears. A 60-second timer counts down with haptic pulses in the final seconds. At the end, your score appears, both team totals update, and you can see the full round history before moving to the next team's turn.

How to use it
- Select a category from Movies, Animals, Actions, or Famous People.
- Tap Start 60s Round to begin; the current team's word appears on screen.
- Your team acts out the word silently; tap Got it each time they guess right, or Skip to move on.
- When the timer runs out, see the points this team scored and both team totals.
- Tap Next round to let the other team play, or Reset game to start over.

Questions and answers
Do I need to set up team names?
No. The app uses Team 1 and Team 2 by default and tracks their scores automatically through all rounds.
Does the app save progress between sessions?
No. Scores and round history stay only during the current game. Closing the app resets everything.
Can I play this on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The app runs on iOS and Android phones and tablets through Expo.
What happens if we run out of words in a category?
The app loops back to the start of the word list, so you can play multiple rounds with the same category.
