Questions
What does it mean to remix an app?
To make your own copy of someone’s app with a change you describe, like “add a dark mode” or “split by item”. The original is untouched; your copy gets its own link.
How much does a remix cost?
Using any app in the feed is free and needs no account. Each month you get 2 free remixes (a remix = changing someone’s app, a new version of yours, or a new app from an idea). After that a remix costs $0.50 from prepaid credit, with no subscription, and a remix that fails gives the $0.50 back. Pro is $19.99 a month for 100 remixes a month + the Advanced console.
Does the original maker know?
Yes, your remix appears in the original app’s family, and makers are told when a remix of their app is published.
Can I remix my own app?
Yes. A change to your own app makes a new version of it, and every earlier version is kept so you can go back.
