Forgetting something on a trip is frustrating. Pack Smart solves this by asking three simple questions about your trip, then building a detailed packing list organized by category. You answer how many days you're away, pick the weather you'll face, and select any activities you plan—like hiking, beach time, or business meetings. The app then suggests everything you need, from documents to gear, sized to your actual trip.
What it does
After you set your trip details, Pack Smart shows a categorized checklist with Documents & Money, Electronics, Toiletries, Clothing, Activity Gear, Health & Safety, and Misc. Each item appears with a quantity (like 5 shirts for a 5-day trip). You tap items to check them off and watch your packing progress. You can add custom items to any category, delete suggestions, collapse categories to focus on one, and see your progress counted at the top. Edit your trip details anytime to regenerate the list.

How to use it
- Select your trip length by tapping the plus or minus buttons to set the number of days.
- Pick at least one weather condition from the options: sunny, cold, rainy, mixed, or tropical.
- Optionally tap any activities you plan—beach, hiking, business, sightseeing, skiing, camping, gym, or swimming.
- Tap Generate packing list and the app builds your checklist organized by category.
- Check off items as you pack, add any custom items using the input at the bottom, and delete items you don't need.
- Tap Edit trip anytime to change your details and regenerate the list.

Questions and answers
Does the app save my packing list?
Yes. Your list and trip details save automatically to your device. If you close the app, your list is still there when you return.
Can I add my own items to the list?
Yes. At the bottom of the packing list, type an item name, pick a category from the dropdown, and tap the plus button to add it.
Can I change the suggested quantities?
The app suggests quantities based on your trip length and activities, but you can delete any item and add your own version with a custom amount.
Will this work on my phone?
Yes. Pack Smart is a web app that works on phones, tablets, and computers with any modern browser.
