What is Claude Code remote control?

It's running Claude Code on your own computer while your phone drives the session. Is this an official Anthropic app?

No. CodeAgent Mobile is an independent companion built on top of Claude Code. Claude Code itself runs locally on your machine with your own Anthropic API key or Claude Pro/Max subscription; CodeAgent Mobile only relays prompts and responses between your phone and your terminal.

Do I need my own Anthropic subscription or API key?

Yes. CodeAgent Mobile is a relay, not an LLM provider. Claude Code runs with your existing Anthropic API key or Claude Pro/Team/Enterprise subscription; CodeAgent only meters the relay between your phone and your machine.

Does my code leave my computer?

No. Claude Code runs locally and reads and writes files on your machine. The CodeAgent backend only relays the prompt-and-response stream between your phone and the terminal — it never sees your repository.

Does it work over SSH, in Docker, or a Codespace?

Yes. codeam-cli only needs Node.js 18 or newer and a network connection, so it runs inside SSH sessions, tmux/screen, Docker containers, and GitHub Codespaces — anywhere you can start a Node.js process.

How to remote-control Claude Code
