The CLI and IDE plugins (VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, JetBrains) are open source under the MIT license at github.com/edgar-durand/codeagent-mobile-clients. The mobile app and the backend relay are closed source. You can read the client code, audit the protocol, or self-host the CLI without installing the proprietary backend if that matters to you.

Can I migrate from Omnara to CodeAgent Mobile?

Yes — there is no data lock-in to migrate. Both tools are relays: Claude Code runs on your laptop with your existing Anthropic key or subscription. To switch, install codeam-cli (npm install -g codeam-cli), pair your phone, and start using `codeam` instead of the Omnara CLI. Your Anthropic credentials, your project files, and your workflow stay where they are.

No — they are separate products run by different companies, with separate backends and separate privacy policies. Neither sends your code to the other; both keep your AI agent local on your laptop.

If your entire workflow is Claude Code in a terminal and you want a tool focused on exactly that use case, Omnara is a strong, narrowly-scoped fit. If you also use Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code's Copilot, or any JetBrains IDE, CodeAgent Mobile covers all of those in one app — Omnara does not have plugins for those IDEs.

Yes. CodeAgent Mobile and Omnara both wrap the official `claude` CLI (Anthropic). You can have both installed and paired without conflict — they each spawn their own `claude` process. Pick whichever app you actually want to use; the underlying Claude Code installation does not change.
